Kick off Meeting of the TRIG project at Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT in Oberhausen (Germany)
Almost all of the project partners of the TRIG project met each other at the first project meeting at the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT in Oberhausen dated the 23rd and 24th of April, 2007. The topics of the first day of the meeting were general explanation concerning the further proceeding, project reports and deadlines as well as the state of the art of the current process development and possible options to implement TRIG technology within the demonstration project. At the second day of the meeting, the consortium agreement was introduced and questions of the EU-contract have been discussed.

Official start of the project sponsored by the European Commission under „Tri-generation, CHP and cooling, with integrated flue gas-condensation based on solid biomass fuels“, within the specific programme „Integrating and strengthening the European Research Area“ (2002-2006) in the task „Sustainable Energy Systems“.

The submitted proposal has been evaluated successfully! Within the EU project a TRIG demonstration plant is planned to be realized at the site of a wellness hotel Pierer in Fladnitz, Austria. The project will probably start in August of 2006 with the coordinator IZES gGmbH (Saarbrücken) and the following project partners:

The Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Saftey and Energy Technology UMSICHT in close cooperation with IZES gGmbH, Institute for Future Energy Systems, together with their partners from science:

• Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor (L),

• Technical agricultural school Tulln (A),

• IEL Institute for Energy and environment gGmbH (D),

• Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML (D) and

• INERCON Sp. z o.o. (PL)

and with partners from industry:

• KCO Cogeneration und Bioenergie GmbH (A),

• High-speed Turbomaschinen GmbH (D) and

• colibri bv (NL),

prepare a proposal for the 6^th frame work programme of the European Community (6.FRP: CALL 2005.SM). The main objective of the proposal is the build up of a TRIG demonstration plant to provide the customer with heat and power in winter times and cold and power, for air conditioning, in summer times. 

Therefore we submit the proposal for the task „Sustainable Energy Systems“ and the section 6.1.3.1.2.2. Polygeneration.

Deadline for the proposal is the 8^th of december 2004.
